| This is our first draft of what we planned for our shot list. We have a clear idea of what we want to do but as you can see we wanted to edit our ideas after we analysed what we had started. |

Inspirations for my Horror Trailer.
This animoto presentation shows the posters of
the trailers which I have used as inspiration.
These are mainly based on real life story-lines
which is similar to my idea but I have also looked
at the conventions such as the pace, lighting,
setting and editing.

Conventions of horror film trailers.
In
our film trailer we are planning on using the music and eerie sounds as a
convention but the storyline and dissolve transactions will not be used in our
trailer. This is because we are not filming it from our perspective so the
effect it will give will be giving the audience the wrong ideas about the film.
We are planning on using a dark atmosphere possibly a wood in the night to give
off the scary feeling that the conventional horror film gives. We also have had
an idea to use many shots and edit them quickly together. It will not be easy
to see what they are showing but it will give a fast pace nervous feeling to
the audience and make their hearts race with only scary images in their minds.
We also want to overlap music over this to give it a loud finale finish wit the
name of the upcoming film.
Introduction to A2 Media.
For my year 13 coursework I have chosen to make a film trailer with the genre being horror. I have chosen this genre because the conventions of a horror will be fun and entertaining to make. I am working with Brandon and Sohail to think of our best ideas for the trailer. We are wanting to use the general conventions of a horror which I also want to include into my other media products, for example my film poster. We are wanting to do location filming for our trailer to make it more realist and authentic.
